Downsized

The narrative of Downsized describes the day I was made redundant along with my colleagues from a games company. The story is told in 22 narrative blocks, with 14 pattern blocks to act as spaces and 4 poem blocks. The book ends with a mug shot style gallery of 24 images of my colleagues and their (fictional) employee code. I also engraved a cover page, title page and endpapers. I worked on the book for about two to three days a week, for a year and made only ten copies; one is held in The National Art Library, Victoria & Albert Museum, London. I carried out all stages of the block cutting, printing and bookmaking myself. The book was completed in 2005
