Towards the end of 2011 I began a series of drawings as a direct response to connect to my new home on the North Norfolk coast, with work commencing on the wood engravings in 2012. ‘High Tide Chancers‘ explores the chances we take with where we live and walk. The Norfolk sea wall, constructed to hold the line, was built following the 1953 sea surge. Narratives of place imprint within the landscape as we walk the line between land and sea. This engraving was completed in 2016.
