Towards the end of 2011 I began a series of drawings as a direct response to connect to my new home on the North Norfolk coast, with work commencing on the wood engravings in 2012. ‘Bryony’s New House’ was completed in 2015 and explores ideas between the fragility of home and the volatile nature of coastal environments. Metaphor and narrative extend meaning and personal stories to explore the space place relationship; another home taken by the sea highlights fragility and the transient nature of coast
