Taking the Sea Air

Towards the end of 2011  I began a series of drawings as a direct response to connect to my new home on the North Norfolk coast, with work commencing on the wood engravings in 2012.  ‘Taking the Sea Air’ was completed in 2016. The smell of the sea imparts a unique sensory experience of place – flux of DMS from oceans is calculated by the rate of sea-to-air DMS flux, expressed by the following calculation FDMS=kxΔC=kx(CW–[CA x H-1])
