‘The Rising Sun’ was developed from drawings made during coastal walks near our home on the North Norfolk coast. On certain days the sea and sky seem to merge yet remain distinct in their own way. Early morning walks with the dogs often offer the chance to witness the rising sun – a striking and ever-changing sight and always a joy to see. The prominent post marks the reef – a barrier of rocks protecting the shore from the encroaching tide.
